This charger is priced right and charges batteries just like the OEM unit. The accessories work fine and I'm always pleased to have the option for recharging batteries in my car.
However, as another reviewer has pointed out, the battery fits very tightly in this unit and is held in place by two side clips. Most chargers hold the battery against the charging terminals by pressure on the opposite end of the battery. This has caused me some problems. The green LED on the charger is lit whenever the unit is plugged into an outlet, even if no battery is inserted. If you insert the battery correctly, the LED turns red while it is charging and then green when charging is complete. Sometimes I'll insert the battery and it fails to make contact with the charging terminals. When this happens, the LED is green, making it look like the battery is charged. I have to remember to push the battery up against the terminals, check that the LED has turned red, and then check back after charging. So far, the battery has not slipped back from the terminals after insertion, but if it does the LED would be green and it would look like the battery was charged. This is a design defect. The manufacturer should either improve the fit of the battery into the charger or keep the LED off until the battery is properly inserted.
Other than that, the unit works as advertised and is a real bargain.

Canon LP-E8 Battery fits very tight but charger works just like original Canon charger. Charged up battery in an hour. Comes with car charge plug and foreign outlet plug. Paid $8.39, can't go wrong buying this charger.
